Allyn Raney is a 19-year-old multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. With a voice often compared to Janis Joplin and a style that blends vintage soul with modern artistry, she delivers performances that are both expressive and authentic.
Allyn’s love for music began at the age of six, but it wasn’t until March 2020 that she first picked up a guitar. Since stepping onto the live music scene in October 2023, she has gained the attention of fellow artists and local listeners, steadily making her mark as an emerging talent.
As a self-proclaimed old soul, with her bell bottoms and silver hoop earrings, Allyn brings authenticity to both her music and style. Her sound is shaped by a deep appreciation for artists like BB King, Chris Stapleton, Marcus King, Amy Winehouse, Brent Cobb, Tyler Childers, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. These influences shine through in her soulful guitar work, rich vocals, and thoughtful songwriting.
Whether playing at an intimate winery or large venue, she has a natural ability to entertain crowds of all sizes with her engaging presence and dynamic performances. She takes pride in her efforts to make every event special, tailoring each performance to create a unique and memorable experience for every occasion.
In September 2024, she released her debut song, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting career. With more music on the way, she continues to carve out her space in the industry
